I know it's totally off topic and all, but...
It's 3.30 AM in this part of the world, I'm in one of those moods, listening to this song and - well, why not?
So, here's a little bit of Balkan music for you all. One of my favorite, and unbelievably beautiful, songs.
Hit PLAY, close your eyes and... just listen.

Thanks. :)
DeleteAlready done!
Well well well... I remember a friend of mine called me night creatures. Or was it night fairy? Can't remember. Dayamn, I'm getting old.
ReplyDeleteLovely song btw, and kind of sad actually... but of course I have no idea what was he saying ;P
Gonna be 100% creepy now, but this singer? He died in a horrible car accident a few years back. So, when I listen to any of his songs, I get even more depressed! :(
DeleteSweets, we are both night creatures. And, I love that so! :)
DeleteIt is a sad song, because he is, actually, talking about his wounded heart that cannot heal, and asking insomnia to leave him alone and let him dream about his love.
(Yeah, I know, it's kind of shitty translation, but... :))
DD, I couldn't listen to any of his songs for almost two years, after he died. It's so sad...
DeleteHe died? Oh I'm sorry to hear that.
ReplyDeleteYou're translation is fine sweets. Sounds depressing... (the meaning of the song, NOT your translation LOL!)
Yes, sweets, it's really sad. He was only 26, and so talented. True angel.
DeleteIf my translations ever become depressing, I'll know I have to change my job. Fast! :)
